‘Men in Black’ announces scribes, release date

Spinoff for hug hit sci-fi pic ‘Men in Black’ has drawn ‘Irion Man’ scribes to pen the script, setting date for theatrical release.

Sony Pictures, the producing company of the spinoff, set the sci-fi pic to bow May 17, 2019, a Friday media report said, adding Matt Holloway and Art Marcum will pen the script.

This comes as Steven Spielberg has been named the exec producer of the project.

The original movie narrates the story of two agents of a secret organization known as the Men in Black and protected Earth from intergalactic bad guys.

The leading actor of the original title, Will Smith, will not reprise his roles in the offshoot, report said.

The first film was a box office hit and two more sequels were made as the follow-up.
